About Ascension

The British Overseas Territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha comprises three remote island communities in the Atlantic. It has British and US airforce presences, as well as a European Space Agency rocket tracking station. It has its own system of law that is based on some parts of English law. Green turtles may be seen coming ashore to lay eggs from November to May.
